My newest entry into the paperback book collection page is this rare find! A sealed Five MAD Books Plus a Pair of Red Bookends, this one is the Don Martin version where all the books in the set are Don's. Here's the link:

Finally! All six of The Usual Gang of Idiots Pathtags are completed and available on the main page. Only 50 total tags were produced, never to be re-minted. Only 25 are available for individual purchase. I am reserving 25 for a Limited Edition Collector's Set inside a case with artwork. While the design company finishes putting the cases together I am accepting email requests to be put on the reserve list to purchase the set when finished. This is just to reserve your first right of refusal, no payment upfront is required. When they are complete and the costs have been worked out then I will send those who have requested the sets an invoice and you may choose at that time to pay or cancel. I will only be accepting a maximum of 24 names for the reserve (one for me!). Send me an email with your name, contact and shipping information.
One of my favorite covers recently is of #483 2007 of Mark Frederick's Alfred E. Neuman as a Zombie, and have finally had a new collectible coin pathtag minted with this design on it. Available now as a pre-sale for a super cheap price of only $5 each with free shipping from my homepage. Coins should be out of production in about 4 weeks. Reserve yours now, these tags are awesome and have received a big want so far!
A couple of new books have recently surfaced that you may or may not be aware of:
Dave Berg: 5 Decades, Hardcover for $30.00
Inside MAD, Hardcover for $29.95
Special Collector's Edition MAD Picks, Softcover for $11.99
Amazingly Stupid MAD: Expanded Edition Hardcover for $9.98
Spy Vs. Spy: A Fight to the Finish, Softcover for $9.99
Spy Vs. Spy: Black(and White) Ops, Hardcover for $8.98
So, I have decided that I want this project to move at a little faster pace to see it's completion before the end of the year! That is why I have made the hard decision to slash the initial prices in half! For Pre-Sale Sales ONLY! Now each new minted coin will only be $10!!! If you've come late to the party and still want the first tag, email me and plead your case, grovel, bet, etc.
The second tag in a series of six is now in production and available for Pre-Sale for 30 days only, after that you will have to try your luck at auction when ever I feel like releasing one if any are left. Only 50 of each tag will EVER be produced!
On the main page, I have created a link to a list of paperback books that I am still in need of and want to buy from YOU! Check it out, send me an email with a scan of the actual book and I will send you five times the amount that I personally sell my extra books for...$10 per book!
Yes, the first of six soon to be rare and very collectible minted coins featuring famous classic artists and writers of MAD known simply as "The Usual Gang of Idiots" has begun! Beginning with the oldest and longest running contributor; Al Jaffee! Only 50 of each of these coins are EVER going to be minted! That means only 49 of you "collector's" are going to be able to have this set as a part of your collection. Only 25 are being released to the public as a buy it now Pre-Sale event for thirty days only, of which we are about half way through it! The rest are being locked up and stored away in my MAD Museum Vault until the entire series has been minted. Hurry and get yours now before they are gone.
Only 6 slots to fill, with Al Jaffee taking up the first. Who would you like to see filling the remaining slots? Please provide your feedback!
MAD #524 is on sale October 22nd, 2013!
I just came across a new MAD Special Collector's Edition called "The Golden Treasury of Trash", it is a 128 page softcover magazine/book for $11.99 on sale now July 2013 on display until 10/11/13. I have not seen nor heard nor read any advertisement for this book/mag, which is why you are hearing about it later rather than sooner from me.
In a similar fashion as one of MAD Magazine’s most iconic, classic and most controversial covers experienced, MAD #166 April 1974 featuring the profane “middle finger” which caused newsstands that normally carried MAD to not sell and furthermore, ban this issue from display. I created this pathtag for my personal website inspired by the notorious Neuman-free cover, which after a week on the main gallery was banned from the Pathtag website after receiving multiple complaints from notably the same people on Pathtag who sadly hold their Second Amendment rights higher than the most obvious, yet subtle, basic, inspiring and imperative premises of the Bill of Rights (adapted and drafted from the First Amendment of the Constitution itself!); the right to free speech without infringement.
"Now that these tags are banned from the Pathtags website, these are now very hard to get a hold of and soon to be very sought after, I have had them out of production for two days now, and already 30 have been mailed out! They will be gone soon, make your purchase now from my homepage!
Inspired by one of MAD Magazine's most iconic classic and most controversial covers #166 April 1974!
"The most notorious Neuman-free cover was #166 (April 1974), which featured a human hand giving the profane "middle finger" gesture while declaring Mad to be "The Number One Ecch Magazine."Some newsstands that normally carried Mad chose not to display or sell this issue." - QUOTE PROVIDED BY WIKIPEDIA.
"Reaction to the "finger" cover of MAD #166 (April 1974) forced Gaines to send letters of apology to irate readers and retailers, signed by both Gaines and Feldstein. According to Nick Meglin, who thought up the gag as an office joke, the caption originally read "the number one magazine of good taste," but for some reason the other caption was used; the reaction would likely have been similiar with either caption." - QUOTE PRIVIDED BY COLLECTIBLY MAD WRITTEN BY GRANT GEISSMAN.
(A PHOTO COPY OF THE "LETTER OF APOLOGY" WILL BE PROVIDED FOR EVERY ONE OF THESE TAGS BOUGHT OR TRADED!)
MAD issue #522 is on sale July 23rd, 2013!
I have now become part of the Geocaching community and have minted my own Pathtag/Geocoin! Of which, I have made a very limited few of 50 only, I will not be reprinting this mold. I may make other different coins later, but for now only 50 of these soon to be rare coins are available for sale, or trade for other MAD themed related tags. If you are interested, email me and I will send you an invoice thru PayPal.

If anybody cares, or if any body is really reading this thing...I got married this last weekend on July, Friday the 13th, 2012! Cool backyard wedding where we BBQ'd a whole pig! It only got on fire once, made a very tasty crunchy outside! My daughter and my wife's neices were the flower girls one had a newly broken arm but she was a good sport about it. And my two boys were the ring bearers...not the best decision I have ever made but it worked out in the end once we were able to convince them to give up the rings!
Keep a look out for this bonus issue being released Tuesday July 24th where ever MAD's are sold! It is not part of your subscription so you will have to travel farther than your mail box to obtain this issue!
As many of you may have noticed, the construction of this website has come to almost a complete halt??? The reason is because the website building platform that I am using...webstarts.com...SUCKS!@#$%
Sorry about the sailor mouth! This website builder has progressively shown itself to be not that good in what it claims. My pictures no longer load, it stalls when saving a page update, loseing the work that has been done, etc, etc...If anybody knows of a better site to use or that is able to convert my current 300 page plus site so far into another platform building website, please let me know so that I can continue to build this MAD Museum! Thanks, Jason.
There is a plethora of new MAD books and merchandise coming soon down the pipe line to watch out for. More recently released the Wacky Wobbler Bobble Head of Alfred E. This is different from the dual vinyl pack of Spy's that was released on May 2nd, 2012 as part of the second series of action figures. The first round of Series 2 of Just-Us-League of Stupid Heroes action figures is almost here, with Alfred as Superman, Aquaman and Green Arrow due out on July 4th, 2012. Then Alfred as Flash, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman due out on September 5th, 2012 and Alfred as Batman, Robin and The Joker not yet with a release date?

I have finally been able to convert my MAD Museum Logo into a vector graphic with the help of Brian over at Lizardfish Graphics! Check them out at www.lizardfishgraphics.com Prices were reasonable, customer service was incredible! They were the third website conversion service I tried to contact and couldn't get any of them to contact me back. These guys responded to my emails within minutes, artwork and files were back to me within the hour! I had some questions regarding my ability to use the files and within minutes new adjusted artwork and files were in my inbox! Just to be clear, the logo on this site is not a vector, but a cleaned up version of my crude home-made logo, useable for the website. The vector file is one that is able to be sent to the printers for future posters, and MAD Museum apparel!!!
Ok...I have finally gotten around to making the link for the Excel Spreadsheet for the MAD Paperbacks. You can use this tool as a master list of sorts to help you locate and keep track of all the cover variations for your own collection! It works on my computer(because I have the file!) But can someone please attempt the download and post a comment here that it is working on their computer? Thanks!!
I recently received an original piece of artwork from a DC & Marvel artist who lives in my town. Darick Robertson and his wife came into my restaurant for dinner on 12/20/2011 he is friends with our manager who is a big Captain America fan, so at his request he gave Darick some copy paper and a pen, and within ten minutes an awesome portrait of Alfred E. Neuman was drawn. You can view it on my "About" page, click on the picture for a bigger view!
Finally!!! The MAD Author's Paperback Thumbnails page is completed! That took alot of work, many, many late night hours scanning. But well worth the effort, I love having this page available to me when I am searching out other books for sale to compare the variations if I need them or not. And remember, I am always willing to purchase your book if you have a cover variation that you do not see on my list! Also, please email me or comment here if you know of a variation that I don't have listed here. Now time to finish up the paperback list page!
FYI...I was considering making a link to an excel spreadsheet with all the variations available for download so you could use that as sort of a check list for your own collection? Would anybody consider this a useful tool for you??
I am currently working on the paperback book section of the site, this section is a huge undertaking right now! I have them separated by MAD books, author specific books and book set/collections. When you click on a specific book title you will see a scan of all the different cover variations of that title that I have, and then also a coming soon note of any additional cover variations that are known to exist and are still being sought. If you know of another variation not listed here, please, please email me with a picture of scan and description of the variation! Also, I am working on thumbnail pages for all the books on one page, I have the MAD books page completed, you can view it by clicking on the link under the "blue flame" icon to get your attention! I am working on the author pages and thumbnails page at the same time right now!
Welcome MAD Fans!
If your new to the site, let me tell you that it is under construction right now so not all the links are active, I activate them as I begin to build the pages. Because the collection is ongoing, the pages will be built to date and then updated when new items come into possesion. Under the Collection page, here is a list of the active links that you can look at so far:
